  MVI has the horizontal and vertical lathes with state-of-art Mazatrol and Fanuc CAP II Conversational Controllers.  Our fleet covers a large range, able to machine large diameter parts (up to 120" swing) and long length (up to 350" long), at weights up to 30,000 lbs.  Along with cut-off, large cylindrical grind, and vibratory/thermal stress relief capability, MVI is able to turn-key your complex large turned part needs

  Mid Valley has the Horizontal Bar and VMC capability to support its large turning as well as to support projects requiring large horizontal boring.  MVI’s mills use high-powered multi-axis CNC Controllers, and MVI is experience in deployment of high-speed machining tooling.  Bar capabilities up to 160” x 84” x 60” - 24,000 lb cap with 5 Axis.  VMC capabilities up to 126” x 44” x 36” - 8000 lb cap with 4 Axis.

MVI has the latest multi-axis and multi-task machining centers required to efficiently manufacture complex parts. This state-of-the-art technology enables MVI to competitively machine complex features with minimal processing time and fixturing.

Mid Valley has the skilled welding resources required to fabricate complex components in various alloys.  Our multi-shift 4G qualified welding department is available to support machining projects as well as stand-alone fabrication needs.  MVI can fabricate Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals up to /8” thick and 6000 lbs.

Mid Valley strives to retain as many internal capabilities as possible to insure shortest lead-times and maintain quality control.  As an example, MVI has its own internal ONA Wire EDM (up to 76" x 40" x 30").  The ONA Wire EDM enables production of complex precision internal features and support’s MVI’s large component fabrication capabilities.

Mid Valley has extensive experience with ID Keyways on short production runs.  MVI can generate internal keyways either via its CNC Fromag Keyseater, or via the ONA Wire EDM.  These machines enable MVI to manufacture internal key-ways without the need for expensive broach tooling up to 3”  wide and 39” deep.

Many customers find it economically beneficial to refurbish large wear items such as rolls, drums, and shafts, whether for machine refurbishment or for field replacement and repair.  Mid Valley has the experience in refurbishment of used products back to a near-new specification state, adding years of useful product life.
